It aired from December 12, 2012 to March 18, 2013 and is the studio's first original anime production. It is directed by Amemiya_Akira and Imaishi_Hiroyuki and written by Wakabayashi Hiromi. A sequel is currently in the works. It focuses on the various misadventures of the tough supernatural cop Inferno Cop who is a flaming skeleton wearing a police uniform. The series is a parody of comic books, action series, and anime and intentionally aims for a so bad it's good effect. While its creators have worked on many works with much more fluid animation, this series adopts an extremely limited animation style where the characters look and move like cut-outs. Many of the backgrounds are actually photos of various locations around the world. Although there are female characters, most of them are voiced by male voice actor affecting a comical falsetto. Its story is also intentionally nonsensical and filled with many allusions to other fictional works.
