| I'm looking for a MC with preferably a dark past, someone who isn't a giant whimp. A good example would be Ikki for Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry, or Yuuji from Grisaia no Kajitsu, or Kaze no Stigma, Guts from Berserk, Momo from Overlord. I don't really care for the genre I'd prefer some romance but not needed. I mostly just want someone who doesn't get introuble because a girl bumped into them. Isn't afraid to fight if they have to. MC's strength doesn't have to be in brawn, I witty MC's as well e.x No Game No Life, I just want someone who isn't weak. An example of what I'm NOT looking for would be someone like Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul(I loved that anime but he irritated me first seasons) or actually most Harem MC's also fill the "don't recommend" since their all practically the same. | Quanzhi Gaoshou - Already in your watching, but I figured I'd mention it anyway. The mc isn't dark at all, but he fits the other categories. Plus it's a pretty good anime to boot. Fate/Zero - Fate/stay night: UBW is on your list so I'm not sure if you've already watched this one, but there are definitely a bunch of characters that might work for you here. Btooom! - I can't remember this on so well, but I think the mc mostly fits these categories. I remember enjoying it quite a bit so I figured I'd just throw it your way. Aldnoah.Zero - The mc definitely fits the calm and OP category, kind of an empty personality though. As a whole, I think the anime is good however, it really does have its ups and downs. |

| Does the MC have to be a male? If no I'd recommend Claymore. I dare say it could fit your needs, (I consider her calm most of the time, as far as I remember, but probably in a slightly different way than Ikki) though I watched it quite some time ago I can say that if the MC isn't powerful or badass enough for you, she has quite the dark past. (Or the dark everything? The anime is not a stroll in the park anyway.) It's all that comes to mind right now, I'm also looking for some calm but powerful/badass MCs. |
