WP:NOT a soapbox. Willking1979 (talk) 18:30, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
- Comment - Any member of any religious group could post a similar page for the purpose of explaining why their religion is "better" than everyone else's. As such, it is hopelessly drenched in POV, and has no possibility of ever becoming an article. The picture looks nice, though. It would be sufficient to have that picture on the user's main page captioned with "I am a devout Mormon". Spare us the sermons. If we wanted to hear a sermon, we could find one. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 19:44, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
- Keep, tag as essay Ultimately, once you cut through the religious crap, it's an essay about Wikipedia. Essays about Wikipedia are explicitly allowed. WP:SOAP doesn't apply to essays about Wikipedia in userspace. The religious tinge here doesn't really violate any other policy or guideline that I can think of. In my opinion, calling Wikipedia paradise of skepticism is kind of a compliment, anyway. Gigs (talk) 01:37, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- STRONG DELETE It is way more than an essay ... if you click on the links at the bottom of the page you will see that it is also an attack page against some WP editors. Cheers. Duke53 | Talk 02:52, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- Speedy delete as G11: Clearly does nothing but promote a religion (and maybe make some fuzzy references to wikipedia in places), and has no place on wikipedia. GiftigerWunsch [TALK] 07:15, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- Keep Valid as essay in userspace - and WP has many articles and essays about religion. The editor at issue is actually active on WP. Collect (talk) 10:32, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- G11 Speedy delete I am not going to use my entire userpage as an essay on why we should believe in Judaism and neither should he/she. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 10:39, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- This is a subpage in their user space, not their userpage. Gigs (talk) 14:47, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's true. Also, it currently says "NOINDEX", which presumably means it won't show up in Google. So no one is actually going to see it unless they specifically go looking for it. Which raises the question, What's the point? Is the user trying to convince himself? ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:29, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

- Delete rambling nonsense per WP:SOAP. SnottyWong yak 22:55, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- Keep The user could trim out the excess rambling, but it is important not to blank the userpage so that for every article he edits relating to his religion we are all on notice that he does not have a neutral point of view. That's what userpages are for. EdEColbertLet me know 06:59, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Keep, harmless. Remember: it's not an article. User space pages are expected to be somewhat personal, aren't they? East of Borschov 10:34, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
