Way back 2008 Ghana education service removed Agricultural from our JHS subject, the most important subject that will help us in our daily life and to gives us food to eat because of foreign influence. Now look at food price in Ghana. A country with rich soil and every plant and food can growth on it without adding any fertilizer to it and now we are importing food from outside to the country before we can eat. Our leaders is our biggest problem.

And pre technical skills were also removed! That was directly related to training carpenters! Here in the UK, those in vocational and practical skills as well as apprenticeship are well paid!

This is what happens when we continue to rely on grants from UNESCO and other foreign organisations for our educational system.
These grants come with conditions to change our educational curriculum to produce "theory" students rather than "practical " students 😂😂😂😂😂

Obama you are very intelligent man
We need people like you to educate our people change the mindset of people
Obama do you know why a lot of people don’t regard trade work in Ghana because majority of trade workers only have practical aspect only no theory, no certificate to back what they learn
In uk without certificate as trade man no job , no company will employ you without certificate
All the trade workers in Ghana should have proper uniform mechanics plumbers carpenters electrician
I’m a plumber myself.I was apprenticed then went to collage to get certificate as plumber
Until we follow all this process no one will respect trade man
Is about time government have to invest in trade make it attractive for people to do it
By the way thank you Obama for changing mindset of people

Brilliant presentation. Our curriculum must be throughly revised to emphasise practical skills and apprenticeships, and see to their implementation. The government should also equally create jobs and industrious to absorb the students or support them create their own jobs! When you say this, people may say they’re doing it, but it’s just a lip service.
